Recently while researching bridesmaid dresses online, I came across some beautiful winter coats on J.Crew.com. They make wonderful coats, but they are usually way out of my price range. Lucky for me, sale prices are a little lower this year due to the recession. I made the decision to buy myself a coat. The hardest part was deciding which one. There were a few really great ones to choose from. But I finally decided (it was probably the word "cashmere" in the discription) on the Carrie Coat.
I love this coat! I don't even care that is was marked down even more just a few days after I bought it. It is incredibly comfortable, cute, practical, and oh-so-freaking-soft.
The mustard tights make me feel like a dinosaur, or a duck. But I went shopping with my friend Lisa, who thinks I wear too many dark colors.The coat also has a nice tie at the neck for when it gets windy and I am without a scarf.
I love it. I do not love my funny lips in the photo above. Stupid flash.

i love it! it's so smart to invest in a good coat. and cashmere! i like the yellow tights. i have yellow tights too, but i never wear them because i always chicken out at the last second.
oh, also i was just reading your comment on my blog. can't wait to see the orange cowl. would you want to do a knitting group together in lawrence?
oh, and the plaid fabric in my photos is an old coverlet from my grammy's house that i inherited.
